I ha...Sorry, but you seem to be very confused here. I have already documented R. leachianus above, as the world's largest gecko but still 50% shorter than H. delcourti. As H. delcourti measured approx 2 ft, then at 50% shorter this makes R. leachianus approx 18 in (you state 17 in, so much the same). The 12 in gecko that I refer to is H. duvauceli, which I stated to be the largest known in New Zealand, not in the world. So the fact that R. leachianus is longer than H. duvauceli, as noted by you, is irrelevant here, because it is native to New Caledonia and outlying isles, not New Zealand.Dr Karl Shukerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06222845702628862829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3739684561063978507.post-5944571710150029402020-06-21T03:33:17.860+01:002020-06-21T03:33:17.860+01:00You know Leachianus are the largest gecko measurin...You know Leachianus are the largest gecko measuring up to 17in, bigger than the 12in gecko you cited.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00900962883691296286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3739684561063978507.post-41403553961350943912017-08-26T10:02:21.609+01:002017-08-26T10:02:21.609+01:00Fascinating. Just today my daughter asked me 'What's a Gecko, Dad?".
I live in Cristchurch NZ by the way.
As for Taniwhas and such, nobody here seriously believes in the physical reality of such creatures, but because the Maori have a great deal of power when cultural or religious matters come in to play, mythical entities come in handy for disrupting unfavourable construction projects!Martin Harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12667331992294612673noreply@blogger.com
