After reading the “Monster of Dread street” story, it gave me such nightmares that I went into my parent’s room and their bed for safety. They were angry at me for wanting the comic,,and likely angry with themselves for allowing me to have it-lol. As an adult, I couldn't remember the comic book it was from. Now I know. Thanks for solving the mystery!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3739684561063978507.post-82517933424967818222022-05-10T02:26:15.386+01:002022-05-10T02:26:15.386+01:00Yes indeed, that was another chilling little tale ...Yes indeed, that was another chilling little tale - here is a link to the full comic strip of it preserved online: https://stanleystories.blogspot.com/2008/10/nuttiness-of-stanleys-ghost-stories-two.htmlDr Karl Shukerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06222845702628862829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3739684561063978507.post-68470664489888799732022-05-09T17:18:16.125+01:002022-05-09T17:18:16.125+01:00I am thrilled to have found this post; been searc...I am thrilled to have found this post; been searching for info on that book for years. I bought the annual with The Monster from Dread End in it as a kid in 1970, when I was visiting my sister in the UK. We were staying in a spooky old house and I had many a night's restless sleep. Dread End was the most frightening but I also remember one about a repeatedly adopted kid whose parents keep vanishing whenever a door opens in the kid's bedroom.StoneLordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07338820506795034334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3739684561063978507.post-87593444197648938072021-05-14T00:51:21.523+01:002021-05-14T00:51:21.523+01:00My pleasure - and yes, I had a few sleepness night...My pleasure - and yes, I had a few sleepness nights after first reading it back in childhood too. I too was very impressed by this story and remember it to this day. Tim Swartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05561987120137163536noreply@blogger.com
